Emily left the office and made her way to the bus stop to get a taxi to take her to the north side of the city. Earlier in the day, she had received a text message from Samantha demanding to meet with her at the Hot Sticks restaurant located on the north side of the city after the close of work.When she got to the bus stop, there were no taxis in sight. It is the rush hour of the day, and getting a taxi might be a little difficult, if not impossible. However, Emily knew that she must honour her date with Samantha if she wants to keep out of trouble at least in the meantime.She wondered why Samantha would not meet her at home but had decided that they meet at a restaurant a little far away from home. As soon as their backs were no longer visible, she sank to the chair in disappointment, and it was at this point that her mind was drawn to all the things the three ladies had ordered.Hot Sticks is one of the most expensive restaurants in town, and the bill is way above what the average working class could afford. It was with deep pain that Emily watched Kendra leave to go get the manager to attend to her case. What else can she do; she has already prepared herself mentally for what is to come. And truth be told, she has had way more embarrassment than this one, all thanks to Samantha.She fell into her seat and cast her head downward as she pondered where this would lead to. Would the manager decide to detain her until the bills are offset, which would take forever, or will they sell her off if that is possible?But then, of what use would she be to her buyer as a human?
