Chapter Sixty - She Came Back

"Thanks Martha" Kylie said as Martha took her plate from her and washed it.

"I'll leave now Mrs Anderson" Martha said and left hurriedly

"I'll return to the office today. I can't be absent for too long. People might notice and talk" Kylie said as she faced Scott whose eyes were fixated on a file.

"Yeah. What?" Scott said and closed the file.

"I'm going back today...to the office" Kylie said and looked away from him.

"Are you still mad at me from yesterday? I had a good reason for doing that. Don't act coldly towards me" Scott said and smiled.

"I forgot about that already. I'm going to the office" Kylie said indifferently

"I already told you that you can stay at home. Don't worry about my mum" Scott insisted.

"I can't stay away from him for long. It'll only be a matter of time before we meet again. So what's the essence of staying home" Kylie said as she stood up.
