Vinnie was stunned, to say the least. Couldn’t move. Or breathe. Or think. When the hell did he arrive? She thought. How long had he been standing there, watching her? The next morning arrived and Vinnie woke up feeling a bit sore and a little disoriented. She stretched out lazily on the bed, enjoying the sensation of being surrounded by a mountain of soft pillows and luxurious sheets that smelled like lavender. The room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn shut, but even in the semi-darkness, Vinnie could tell that the interior was tasteful and elegant. She smiled happily to herself. Everything looked so beautiful, so classy...so expensive! It was her third day after she left her old, poor and boring life behind and came here—to the most expensive condo in the city—and started living with Mr Doyle as his mute mistress.
