Chapter 28

Nora opened her eyes to be welcomed by the brightness of the morning sun and a strong arm on her waist. In less than five seconds, everything that happened last night flashed in her mind and she felt like crying but stopped herself.

She slowly moved William's hand off her and when she was almost successful, he pulled her back in, turned her to face him, and placed his leg on her.

“Morning little princess,” William said, his eyes closed and a sweet smile on his face.

Nora buried her head in his chest while blushing. She looked up and everything changed. She was no longer in William's arms or the room, she was standing in front of her high school gate. Confused about what was happening, she tried running away but everything changed again. She was standing and watching her younger self being beaten up by the people she once called friends.

She tried to stop them but it seemed like they couldn't see or hear her.

“Stop! Stop it! It hurts!”

“Please stop,” Nora whispered and started to cr
