It was great news when the doctor informed me that I was pregnant. It's joyful carrying the child of the man you love the most. Perhaps, he will start changing after hearing that I am carrying our child. I heard that children change men's hearts, especially first-borns.

Then something struck me. What if Devon denies the child, I thought. But after thinking it through, I realised it wasn't a big deal. We can have a DNA test if he doubts me. Even after arriving at that conclusion, I still wasn't happy. If he truly doubts me, it will be a huge blow, even if I later prove it with a DNA test.

I had a prickly feeling, as if someone was staring at me. I turned immediately and saw Devon standing there, looking at me coldly. His dark eyes seemed to be studying me.

"You are here, Devon," I called out to him with an extremely soft voice.

"Mhm!" He nodded. "How are you feeling?" He asked after a pause.

I smiled happily when I heard him asking about how I am doing. I felt a sweet feeling in
