CHAPTER 9: The turmoil

Clara was well aware of the falsehood she had told Remy regarding her name, claiming it to be April. It was a common occurrence for her to deceive men by using a false name, showing little interest in them beyond physical intimacy.

Returning to her humble abode, Clara entered through the gate and made her way back to the solitude of her room in the rented apartment.

Nevertheless, Lerisa made her way to the shopping complex she had set her sights on for some new clothes. After finding a parking spot, she let out a weary sigh. As she recalled Clara's denial of knowing her.

Lerisa contemplated reaching out to Anthony once more via phone. However, she was unsure of how to broach the subject with him, considering she had witnessed his girlfriend being unfaithful.

Lerisa turned off her car engine, and at last emerged from her vehicle before securing the car door and making her way to the shopping boutique where she planned to choose a gown.

She entered a charming boutique and was greeted by
