Chapter 29 - Some Like Them Willing

Wanting to end the chain of explosions, I morphed into my lycan form, positioned on all fours on the highest part of the bell tower roof, and released the loudest bark I could produce. Its echoic quality turned to solid waves. It rode with the wind, covered the entire city and ignited a single, massive blast that shook the city’s foundation and brought it to momentary dust-filled darkness.
When the smoke and dirt settled, I was pleased to see the city still in its complete form—not as complete as I wanted it to be, but enough to build a better, larger version.
Most of my men were spared too. From the roads, they stood. Some were injured because of the caustic air. Some were in a better shape. They looked up at me and cheered as loudly as they could.
