CHAPTER 36 – DEXTER, A MODERN HERMIT IN THE FOREST
The people in the area near the entrance of the forest, know well the story of Dexter, a hunter who was lost in the forest, proclaim dead, and suddenly appear in good health after three-years, and now after helping a group of hikers chooses to remain and live in the forest. He become the talks of the community nearby, they cannot understand, why such a person, like Dexter, who have a good carrier, and living prosperous life int the city, decided to remain in the forest and live there alone. Why in heaven’s sake, this man left all the comfort and prosperity of the city, where he was born and grew up.
However, Dexter, does not totally make himself secluded in the forest. He communicates with the forest rangers through his two-way radio transceiver, he frequently reported to them, the illegal loggers and hunters. The LGU and the local police force had discussed the protocols how they are going to address the problem, and catch the lawless men, who had escape in the forest. Their order is plain and simple, catch those men, dead or alive and bring them out in forest to the fold of law. After the hold dupers was apprehended by the authorities, a thorough tactical investigation, was done, and all of it was focused to the lone forest ranger, who flush out them out of the forest, without a single fire of gun. He only used the spirit of the forest and the wild animals to force those hold dupers and gun for hire, out of the forest. All of these again awaken the meticulous minds of people, who are tired of political news, and violent news that had become the everyday topic of all news outfit.
