Even though it appeared like I was casually browsing through the shelves like every other customer there, I was actually looking at the alpha and the lady with him.

He was quite taken by her and every small gesture they exchanged just caused me to boil with anger.

She even wanted to pick out a jar and her fingers could reach the shelf but he just had to step up and pick it out for her. He was towering over her and they were too close.

That was it. I gritted my teeth, grabbed a jar of herbs that I didn't really know off the shelf and turned away.

"I'm done here," I told my friends. They exchanged a look and I expected them to follow me but they didn't. Instead I heard Anna say,
