CHAPTER 66: KILLING AN ELDER

I barged into the house, staring at all of them with disdain mixed with suspicion. They all sat with much uprightness, acting like they had something planned for me.

I walked briskly to my seat, waiting for them to state the reason why I was summoned like a goat.

A pin drop silence followed for almost close to a minute. I banged my hands on the table, capturing their attention at once.

“If nobody is saying anything, why is my presence summoned like that,” I shouted. I cared less if they were old enough to be my father, if they knew me when I could barely walk myself. I was their leader now, they needed to start bowing for me.

My eyes went over to my father, his head was bent down and from the way he sat, I could see his eyes closed. The last conversation we had in my house replayed itself in my head. How disappointed was he in me. But as usual, I was not interested in him being proud of his son.
