Chapter Fourteen

The hotel was a beautiful one; it was my first time stepping foot into a 5-star hotel. When we got to the bar, it was as though I walked into a Disney movie. I am not much of a drinker, but honestly, getting drunk at such a beautiful place won't be a bad idea after all. We walked into the restaurant and saw Mace's parents sitting in the corner while the whole place was empty.

Mace's mom was all dolled up and dressed in a blue modest gown, but there was nothing modest about her black heels; those bad guys were long, and I don't know how she could walk in those. But I guess she handles them quite well to still be wearing them. She spotted us and whispered something to Mace's father, who was dressed in all black: a black suit, pants, shirt, and shoes. As black as his and his son's souls anyway.

Their souls are just as pitch dark as darkness itself. I guess they just love wearing the color of their souls, to show the world their true color, so you won't mistake them for an angel;
