DOUBLE DEATH TRAP

A WEEK AFTER

It's been a week after Gisel's incident but yet no sign of her waking up. Natasha on the other hand, tried her possible best to end her life but it all failed drastically due to the constant visit of Desmond who mostly spent all day beside her.

Meanwhile, Antonio's health had already started deteriorating due to Natasha's constant poisoning and this had made it impossible for him to visit his daughter often. He stood at his library, his gaze fixed on some files on the shelf when Natasha trod in with a tray.

" Coffee?", she called from the door. Antonio instntively nodded without looking back at her. His eyes locked on the files. She smirked, placed the tray on the table and drew out a mini bottle from her pocket.

" Antonio, i'll like to visit Gisel at the hospital today with some flowers and a teddy bear" She stuttered. "What do you say about that.?" She consciously glanced from time to time to make sure he wasn't watching while she dropped the contents of the bottle into the coffee.

" That's great" he answered, lost in his files. Natasha smiled and glided over to his end with the coffee.

" Here you go– your coffee" She gently placed it on the table. Antonio gazed up at her with a faint smile. "Thanks, dear" He eluded. Natasha kept her fixed, wolfish glare on him as he took a sip. She smirked

"Mission accomplished " She mumbled in her thoughts and snared but masked it up with a composed gaze. "Will you like to come along?"

She expectantly stared at Antonio as he slowly settled in his chair. His face, pale. His chest rose and fell rapidly with heavy but difficult breath.

" No, Nat" He mumbled "i'll visit later– You are already aware of my condition at the moment and  know my doctor asked me to have enough rest because of my health. My heart still feels weak and beats faster when I stress. Although I'm taking the medicine he prescribed, yet it shows no sign of change" He coughed.

" Sorry, dear– here , take this water" She helped him as he took a sip of the glass of water. "I understand your condition– don't worry, you'll be fine in no time. I'll take care of everything till you recover " She assured with a broad smile which made Antonio smile as well.

" Thank you so much, Nat for all the love and care you show to Gisel and I. Although she's quite different from the other kids you know, yet you love her like your own. I really appreciate it and I love you so much for that..."

He held her hand and kissed her on her forehead. She smiled and held his hand as she stared into his eyes.

" No need to thank me dear– i'm only doing my duty as Gisel's mother and your wife. I love her as much as I love you..." She hugged him.

" I've got to go now before visiting hours is over. I'll let Gina take charge while i'm away but please don't stress so much. Call any of the maids if you need anything and leave the documents and files– you need to take some rest now – I'll ask George to come for them, okay?"

" Alright, I will" He stuttered. Natasha smiled and rose to her feet.

" See you later then, bye" She kissed him at the cheek and hurried out of the  library with a cunning smile .

THE BRILLIANTS SCHOOL COMPLEX

FOOTBALL FIELD

Desmond sat at the far end of the field in his jersey, gazing absent mindedly at his colleagues while they train. He looked depressed and nervous. Martin, Desmond's childhood friend stood among  their friends, his gaze fixed on him. He sighed and glided over to his side.

" Hey, Desmond!" He called and Desmond instinctively turned towards him.

" Are you okay? You've been like this ever since we started training. You neither train nor laugh as you use to " He mumbled as he settled beside him. "Tell me, is something bordering you?"

" Nothing, I'm fine", Desmond answered, looking down.

" What do you mean by nothing" He tapped him at he shoulder, worried. "Look here, Desmond,–We've been friends since childhood and I know how you behave when everything is alright with you. This is not like you"

He drew closer to him and pulled his hand over Desmond's shoulder.

" You know you can trust me with anything– come, let me know what the problem is maybe I can be of help." He added. Desmond instinctively gazed up at him and just stared in silence.

" If I tell him it's about Gisella, he might curse her. " He thought to himself. "No, i can't let him speak evil about her. I feel hurt when people treat her badly. It's better I keep it to myself " He mumbled. " I said its nothing, Martin– Just let me be, I want to be alone ." He trod out of the field, pissed.

HOSPITAL

Natasha trod through the corridors of the  hospital towards Gisella's ward with flowers and a teddy in her hand. Just when she approached her ward, she saw a nurse sauntering out. She hurriedly paced towards her.

" Nurse?– Nurse!" she called, making her pause in her steps. "Can I have a word with you?"

" Sure, Ma'am"  She answered. Natasha drew closer to her and whispered.

" Can we go inside? It's a private discussion." The nurse gazed at her, a bit confused but nodded in response. They strolled back into Gisella's ward. Sure no one else was around apart from the two of them, the nurse quried first.

" How can I help you, Mrs?"

" Um, I want you to inject her to death" Natasha retorted. She gasped, her eyes swiftly lurked around to be sure they were really alone.

"What do you mean, ma'am?" She eluded, totally shocked by her words.

"I mean, I want her dead"

The nurse nervously chuckled as she shook her head in disagreement. "Sorry, ma'am but I can't do such an evil act– it's against our code of conduct" She insisted.

" You need to, please. Can't you see, there is no hope of her gaining her consciousness. She will die anyway. Please help me end her suffering. I'll pay you any amount you want...."

Natasha stuttered with a pleading gaze. The nurse glanced at Gisel and back at Natasha, tensed and nervous. She let out an inaudible sigh and spoke up.

"Um, okay–I'll do it" Natasha smirked but masked it up with a troubled and worried look.

" Thanks so much dear..."

" Welcome. I've got to go now. I need to attend to other patients..." She quickly trod out of the ward. Natasha slowly moved to Gisella's bed, smiling.

" Let's see how you escape this time– It's an inevitable double death trap. If one fails, one will surely get the task done. She dropped the flowers on the table beside Gisella's bed and the teddy bear beside her on the bed.

Natasha drew out a small bottle like a perfume and sprayed it over the flowers and the teddy bear while she kept her nose covered with a mask.

" Sleep well, honey and don't forget to  send my regards to everyone at the other side, especially your mother. She chuckled and she caressed Gisel's hair after which she trod out of the ward, a broad smile dazzled on her face.
