Chapter 69

As Elizabeth stared at the pregnancy strip, there was only one red line in the middle.

“A red line means negative, two red lines mean positive,” She muttered and looked at the pregnancy strip again.

The result came out negative, she wasn't pregnant.

“No, this can't be happening to me,” Elizabeth shook her head vehemently.

Her hands began shaking as the strip fell out of them.

“I am pregnant. I missed my period, and that should mean nothing but pregnancy. Why is it negative? This pregnancy test must be fake!” Elizabeth shrieked, tears welled up in her eyes.

“After all the happiness I felt!” Elizabeth cried, her lips trembled as she spoke. “I fainted. I had symptoms!”

Her hands gripped her hair and she pulled it hard. She screamed at the top of her voice and tears poured out of her eyes. She slowly slipped to the floor and began crying.

She wasn't crying because she wouldn't be able to get pregnant again, she was crying because her expectations were crushed before her face.
