"What do you mean you don't want to come with me?"
It was just after lunchtime, and Amara was waiting for her doctor's visit when Matteo said that he had arranged for her to come back with him.
"I'm not your burden, I'm perfectly fine without you the past few weeks. Peter is coming to get me."
She was annoyed when he was making a decision without asking her in the first place. She wanted him, badly. But not because he felt sorry for her, not because she was weak and needed him.
"Amara, you're not fine. You're hospitalized."
He tried his best to convince her, but he knows words were not his strong points. He wanted her safe, he needed to know that she would be safe.
"So? I'm taking some time off I'm going on a trip with Peter. You can stop worrying about me."
"Where are you going?"
"I don't know, I haven't decided."
