17. Troy's Secret

After the train wreck of a morning, Briar was sure that she would remain by herself the rest of the day, so it surprised her when she heard footsteps.

“Am I going to get punished for my flippant tongue, or worse?” she whispered to herself. When she saw the door being pushed slowly open, she thought she was done for, but it was Troy! He poked his head into the room.

“Can I come in?” He asked, a strange look on his face.

“What are you doing here? I didn’t expect I would have any visitors after this morning.” Briar admitted.

“I’m here on official A business. It turns out he enjoys violin music, so…Ta-Da!” he went fully into the room. A violin slung across his shoulder, sheet music and books in his arms, and a bag slung over his other shoulder.
