Chapter 56: A Friend I could Rely On

The only indication I really had been facing something through was my swollen eyes. I couldn’t get enough of sleep, and seeing Amelia and Saint talking with each other outside the bedroom made me bite my lower lip.

The door was slightly opened. I could see them talking and hear every inch of their voices.

“You should’ve called me when she went here, Amelia. My boss would kill me!” I heard him soat outside. There was roughness in his voice but I saw how Amelia held his hand.

I couldn’t hear her voice, but I could hear Saint’s.

“My boss has been looking for her all night and he commanded us all to look for her. Sweetheart it’s my job-”

I heard Amelia groaning. “C’mon. Claudia told me how hurt she was, she needs time. Don’t tell her boyfriend about Claudia yet. Please?” Ameli inquired, holding Saint's arms which made Saint glanced at it.
