Ear Hurt

Alice was exasperated with Alisha's words. He couldn't bring himself to get angry, as it all seemed too trivial to warrant such a reaction. How could he possibly get worked up over something like this? No, it was simply out of the question.

He spoke calmly, trying to keep his frustration in check, "Alisha, you can't say things like that to anyone. It's too embarrassing."

He felt like he was talking to a child. As much as he wanted to get angry with her, he couldn't bring himself to do it, knowing how ridiculous it all sounded. But he couldn't let her off the hook either.

"Then it's embarrassing for me to sit on your lap," Alisha retorted.

Alice felt like pulling his hair out at the way she spoke. It was getting on his nerves.

"Do you do anything other than eating someone's head?" he asked.

Alisha sighed, clearly annoyed. "How many times do I have to tell you that I don't eat meat ? I'm a vegetarian, why would I want to eat you when I can eat something else?"

Alice knew he couldn't win
