Chapter 36: He Wouldn't Adjust

Illegal. That's the first thought that popped to my mind. He's illegal… and everything he does are. Nonetheless, I was drawn to his oblivion and unfortunately, a mere woman who like me couldn't unleash the tight grip he has around my neck.

I was told that we'll spend the night here and Ares was now sleeping on the sofa soundly. I bit my lower lip as my gut feeling indulged me to go out, unaware of the reason why I did that.

Gradually, the door creaked when I pulled it in a slow and gentle way. I went out as the massive space of the hallway greeted me. Sure, Ares' office is huge and I didn't expect that. However, what made my jaw drop even more was the living room at the end of this hallway and the tall inches after one door.

I believe that each room and door I past along with has a huge wide space inside. I'm sure of that. Their headquarters was high maintenance, so it's a bit reasonable to find a maid or something but my eyes didn't get one.
