Abandoned

When I woke up the next day, I saw Dante standing in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie. He had dressed for the day. I had no clue on what his work was exactly but everyday he left the house dressed and somehow I had to endure it but I was done.

“Good morning, my pearl.” He said in his gruff tone, moving in to kiss my forehead. Last night he abandoned me, and here he was acting like everything was okay.

That name used to make me feel special, but it didn’t. He probably has used it on many other women.

“I’ll be back in a few hours. I have to set up a deal with..”

“Dante, I don’t want to hear it.” I said to him, and he stopped talking.

His face was neutral, but from his fist, I could tell he was fighting the anger brewing in him.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, and I raised a brow with a scoff.

I sat up in bed and shook my head, then I crossed my hand.

“You are asking what is wrong? Was last night a joke for you? You abandoned me the entire night? Is this how it is going to be fro
