As soon as Ben headed out the door, I flew up the chimney, switching forms into a bird that followed him home. He seemed to recognize me as soon as he saw me, slowing down on the porch and waiting for me to morph into my human form. “Well, hello there, Harlow,” he said, shaking his head.
