Seeing how determined Ean was in obtaining Rex, Markus knew they were not going to be able to leave without a fight, he was worried that even with their combined strength, they would not be able to do more than slow him down, Ean it seemed, had enough power to destroy an entire town of some of the Magnus family elite soldiers.
