54. When You Know, You Know

Tristan's frustration builds within him as he returns to his cabin, angrily throwing the files onto his desk. His pacing intensifies, his mind consumed with a mix of anger and disbelief. He rubs his face, attempting to regain control of his emotions, and runs a hand through his hair in frustration.

In his mind, Tristan had planned to seek revenge on Elizabeth, believing that she had been deceiving him all along. 

While he never harbored true feelings of love for her, he had intended to make her fall for him, to manipulate her emotions. And to his surprise, she had indeed fallen for him deeply. But now, seeing Elizabeth in Dominic Bradford's arms, Tristan's plans were thwarted. 

He couldn't fathom the idea that Dominic might genuinely care for her, or worse, be attracted to her.
