We all left the hospital late at night, after much examination and delay from the doctors and nurses.

She hurried over to meet him at once, while the boy gave weak groans, the instant she touched his body.

"David" She gasped, mouth hung open, eyes staring on at him.

"What the hell happened to him?" She demanded at once, turning to look at me, with her eyes fixed on my figure, while I bent my head low.
