The sound of my doorbell ringing, dragged me out of bed, hurrying down to check who it was.

I was back from school for just a short while, and had since been enjoying being back home.

Returning to mom's mouth-pleasing breakfast, made me feel the warmth of motherly love, once again.

She cared for me even though I assured her I was no longer a kid. Ever since what happened, she kept a close eye on me, making sure I didn't get into any more trouble, and ensured I was safe.

Yawning loudly while letting the door open, I gazed into the eyes of the human stood feet away. Seeing his face on a bright morning like this, felt like a gift from heaven to me.

He took in a breath, gazing at me, while I just stared back, admiring how much better he looked, compared to the last time I saw him.

That time when he had pain written all over his face.

"Can we talk" He uttered.

I remained silent, trying not to seem so welcoming to him, and finally after quite a while, making way for him to step in.
