CHAPTER 142: FUNERAL

Days passed and the day came when Red's father needed to be buried. Red wanted his father to be cremated, which Mrs. Buenavista did not object to. Red also wanted his father's remains to be placed in the mansion, as it was where his father grew up, so it was only appropriate to put it there. They had a spot made for Mr. Buenavista's ashes, and a huge portrait of him was placed behind it.

After the priest finished praying for Red's father, he stood in front of him without moving or sitting down. I approached him and held his shoulder before giving him a tight hug. I knew that in moments like this, he needed hugs from me.

"Are you okay, Love?" I whispered in his ear.

He smiled, but I could still see the sadness in his eyes. He nodded and hugged me again, and it seemed like he hugged me for more than five minutes before letting go. "Wanna go home?" He asked me.
