‘Ngwedi, why can’t I feel my legs?’ Mapula asked ‘I don’t know my queen but look over there, that elephant can help carry you’ answered Ngwedi. ‘But won’t the lions standing in front of it harm me?’ she asked. ‘That is up to you my queen, remember this is your journey, if you let the lions stand in your way you might not go home.’ Ngwedi told her. ‘But I have to go home Ngwedi, they need me.’ She panicked. ‘They don’t only need you but you are their queen as well.’ Ngwedi started to disappear. ‘Ngwedi, where are you going? Don’t leave me, Nyolodi, my queen please help me! Bakoena, where are you?’

Mapula woke up sweating and breathing heavy, it was a dream, she sighed
