A loud scream erupted from her lips, her body trembled and black veins spread through her skin, tainting her flesh.
"Lyra!"
A voice called out and her eyes snapped open, when they did her eyes turned obsidian, the black swallowing any hint of white. Just as fast as the black appeared it disappeared.
Lyra panted when she finally regained consciousness her chest heaved she panted, tears rolling down her eyes. When she finally got a grip on her consciousness she hurriedly sat up, leaned against the headboard and curled herself up as she shivered.
Reaching for her phone on the table, she pressed speed dial and after a few rings a female voice spoke from the other end.
