I closed my eyes composing my every emotion. Maria’s screams flooding me as she is dragged away from her brother’s dead body.

I took my eyes to Marcel as a distraction, his hands no longer attempting a futile attempt to save Aimee’s life, instead he was still as stone, his eyes on Aimee’s now lifeless and sickly pale white face.

“no one is to leave” I ordered through my tightly clenched teeth.

“Yes sir” I heard followed by the arrival of another voice. “The grounds are secure, what are we to do with the guests” he cleared his throat, “remaining guests” he added in specification.
