As the dust settled on the battlefield, Asher and Orion approached Lucius, the glow of victory in their eyes.

"Should we pursue Deucalion, Lord Commander? We can't let him escape," Asher suggested, his sword still gripped tightly in his hand.

Lucius, however, shook his head. "No, Asher. Deucalion wants us to chase him. It's a diversion. His real target is Magnus's company."

Asher and Orion exchanged puzzled glances. "Why would he go after Magnus? What strategic advantage does it give him?" Orion inquired.

"Deucalion is a tactician. He knows the significance of Magnus and his role in our strategy. His company guards the perimeter close to the Land of Iron, a place that holds power and secrets. By luring us away, he aims to strike where our defenses are weaker.

Also he knows that if we chase him, we won't be able to provide support to Magnus at the same time." Lucius explained, his eyes focused on the distant horizon.
