CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT : JADED

Deucalion looked sat in a pub, it was dirty and smelly and everyone in there was obviously poor. The people in there glared at him and their displeasure was obvious. They wondered what a rich person was doing there all alone. Had he come to mock them?

"Hey you!, do you have a death wish?", said one of the men who was half drunk with rum.

"Are you looking for trouble?, I'm just minding my business", Deucalion replied.

"Then why are you here?", another man asked.

"I wanted to see what a filthy pub looks like.", Deucalion replied with a smirk on his face.

His reply infuriated the people even more. They glared at him with such a ferocity that Deucalion began to feel threatened.

"The filthy pub is this place you fool!", said the man who was half drunk. "You come here alone and insult us?"

The other man got up from his seat and took out a knife.

"I will give you one chance to walk away", Deucalion said.
