Paying for their sins

Annabelle could only stare with her mouth agape as his words kept ringing in her ears and tears rolling down her cheeks as she refused to believe him.

How could she believe him? He was mistaking her late mom for someone else.

"That's not true, you don't know my mom," she whispered as she tried telling herself that he was telling lies, but she couldn't help the feeling which made her feel as though he was right.

"I don't care if you believe me, Annabelle, but I hate you just as I hate your mom. After throwing away my child, she went and got married as though she didn't know that I'll come for her and her family," he said with a bitter chuckle.

"You know what? You have a lot of sins to pay for. And I have good news for you, you are the last of your family remaining for me to eliminate. I've killed your father a long time ago after killing your mom, and it's remaining you. If not for your mate who had rescued you when you went into the woods to capture a rabbit, you would have been dead
