The heat

Walking into the room, he closed the door gently and rested on it as he stared around in the dimly lit room to make sure that it was safe and comfortable for his little mate.

Stopping his gaze on her fragile figure that laid on the bed, he watched as she sleep comfortably with her face facing the ceiling and the rising and falling of her chest as she breathed softly.

He could see the lines of tears on her face as she slept, which made him clenched his jaws as it was obvious that she had cried.

Moving towards the bed where she was laid on, he sat beside her before taking her hands into his as he caressed them while staring into space.

Turning to look at her as she sniffed and stirred on the bed as though she wasn't comfortable, with her eyes still closed, he subconsciously held his breath so she wouldn't wake up immediately.

But after she fell back into her sleep, he slowly disengaged his hand from hers and stood up before walking to the window.
