The reason he lived

Opening her eyes dizzily, she raised up her hair that had fallen over her face, only to see Alvin staring at her.

She was laid on him and was covered with a duvet and the room wasn't too bright as the curtains were covered.

She couldn't decipher if it was still night or morning due to the thickness of the black curtains with blue decorations that were rolled over the windows.

"Hey," she whispered to him, and he replied with a nod of his head.

"When did I sleep?" she asked as she had the urge to stroke her fingers through his golden coloured hair that was shining in the dark.

"You passed out," he replied as he kept staring at her which got her worried.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked as she touched her face.

"Come close," he used his hand to demonstrate and she bent towards him.

"Closer," he could feel her breath and hear her heartbeat as there was only an inch between them.
