Alisha:

I opened my eyes, feeling like I had cotton wool in my mouth. My limbs were heavy and it took some time for me to realize that I was actually still in the floor, and had fallen asleep some while ago.

Sitting up with a slight groan after some moments staring up into the ceiling, I realized that it was dark outside and I turned tk the clock and saw the time.

It was already a couple of minutes past six.

“Holy shit,” I breathed, standing up at once. My muscles were stiff but I slowly looked around, somehow not believing that I could have slept through the entire afternoon.

How had I let myself drift off for so long?

I jolted at the sound of the knock on my door.

“Yes?” My voice croaked out and I suddenly became aware of how thirsty i was.

Going over to the door I opened it and Simon stood there looking worried.

“Sorry I was asleep for so long,” I apologized to him but before I could say any more he pressed the back of his palm to my forehead and felt it.
