As soon as Gerard left the meeting hall, my knees buckled and I fell into Mischa’s arms.

“Steady, Alis. Steady,” her voice was calmer than I expected. She was usually such an emotional person, while I tried to push my emotions away and be practical… but it seemed that today she was the calm one and I had become the emotional one.
