The reveal

Zack couldn't process what Lilith had said. Her offer was tempting but there was no way he would make up with Isaac, at least not when the alpha title was still in the line.

He intensely stared at Lilith, waiting for when she would crack a loud laughter and admit that it was a joke but it never came as she stared at him with the same seriousness he used on her.

With the intention to avoid what Lilith had said, Zack walked past her and went to check on the food. When he saw that they were ready, he began to dish them out while he silently prayed that she said nothing more about reconciling with Isaac.

" I know what you are trying to do, don't dodge the topic. Don't you think it's high time you make up with –"

" No Lilith, you know better than anyone that I wish to make you my mate but the condition involved is too much for me and what makes you think that Isaac would be ready for that?" Zack interrupted her words. He sounded angry but Lilith wasn't ready to give up.
