"Good evening, Mr. D'Angelo!"

"Good evening, Clarck! And Mrs. D'Angelo?" I inquire of my butler.

"She's in the bath, sir."

"Great! I'll be in my office and don't want to be disturbed by anyone. Could you bring something for me to eat there?"

"Apologies, but won't you be joining your wife at the table tonight?"

"I can't, Clarck. I brought work home and will probably have to work late tonight."

"Understood, sir! I'll inform Mrs. D'Angelo," he says, turning away, and I head straight to the house office.

I let out a frustrated sigh, remembering I could have been with Evy at a relaxed dinner and then... I exhale heavily and shake my head, chuckling at my more risqué thoughts. I place the folder on the table and pull out some papers. I turn on the computer and open the D'Angelo accounting page to access files from at least two years ago up to now. Finally settled in my chair, I begin the rigorous task of reading, studying, and calculating to verify the numbers.
