Chapter 21: Darryl's mood swings

Sitting in the car, Regina stared blankly out the window. She said nothing.

"What happened?" Darryl asked.

"Nothing."

"Regina. I don't like repeating the same question twice." Darryl stepped on the accelerator a little faster.

"I've decided to give up singing." Regina let out a breath and spoke.

"Why? Are you bored?"

"No. How can I get bored of singing. I just don't feel I'm suitable to continue pursuing this career."

Regina was in the middle of talking when Darryl pulled over. This road has little traffic because it is located in a residential area. It was almost midnight, so no cars passed, except for Darryl's luxury car, which was parked by the side of the road.

"There's half an hour left between now and midnight. I'm in no hurry anyway. Tell me your problem." Darryl rolled down the window and lit a cigarette for himself, his expression as calm as if he was waiting patiently for Regina.
