Chapter 30. Don't Misunderstand

Marvin read an incoming message from Miss Bertha saying that Stella wasn't at home and had gone out without taking her medication.

"Damn it! That woman! Why did she leave the house before taking her meds? And where is she going so early?" Marvin closed his eyes in frustration. He tried to call Stella, but no answer.

The office door opened, Dariel stood at the threshold. "We have a meeting now."

"Can it be postponed?" Marvin asked.

"They’re already gathered in the meeting room. It won’t take long, maybe just half an hour."

"Half an hour is long, Dariel!"

"It will be quicker if you get up now and start the meeting. Come on, everyone is waiting for you."

Dariel closed the door firmly. Reluctantly, Marvin got up and left his office to start the meeting.

30 minutes later.

Marvin had just finished the meeting. He returned to his office and tried to call Stella again. Still no answer. He called Miss Bertha to ask if Stella had returned, but his housekeeper said she still hadn't. Miss Bertha
