When her mother was done eating, Charlotte took the plates and dropped them on the floor before handing her mother a glass of water.

"When are you returning to work?” Emily asked her daughter.

"I have until tomorrow to return to work” Charlotte sat down on a chair to talk to her mother who she knew was bored from being in the hospital for over a month now.
