87. Things would be different.

I woke up around 3 in the afternoon when mum woke me.

"I brought snacks and a refreshing drink. Why don't you fresh up, first?" She said with a smile.

I nodded and went inside the restroom. I got fresh up and came outside. I sat back on the bed and mum gave me the food plate.

"Are they good?" She asked while patting my head.

"Yeah. Thanks, mum." I replied with a smile.

"How are you feeling now?." She asked.

"I feel better," I said and she smiled in reply.

"Don't think too much, Celine will always come back." She comforted me.

"I know, it's just I'm not used to being without her. I feel weird." I said while taking another bite of the toast.

"I understand, dear. You'll feel normal eventually. Adam will take care of it." She said while caressing my cheek. I looked down for a bit. I still feel bad for making all this a lie.
