Alicia POV

'What the hell do you think you're doing? What if he poisoned the food?' a message popped on the screen of my phone and it's from Ren. I can't believe I married such a dumbass that doesn't even know the strategies of criminals. It's crazy. Wait! Don't tell me he would poison me if he were to be in my uncle's shoes. That has to be the dumbest thing any criminal would do.

'Relax and just eat, Ren. My uncle won't be so dumb to poison me' I send him a reply, and he sighs after he glances at his phone screen which he's holding on his lap.

"You don't look fine. Is everything ok, Ren?" Emily suddenly asks out of the blue, drawing her dad's attention to Ren.
