30. Surprising her

It's been over two weeks since I came back from my parent's place and two more weeks until my cousin's wedding.

The funny thing about it all is that Adrian has been different towards me. He has been nice and friendly to me and is always speaking to me in a friendly tone and trust me when I tell you it makes me nervous.

I couldn't help but think there was an ulterior motive to his actions because he wasn't this nice to me before.

It's as if he is trying to get to know me so that he could find more reasons to accuse me.

"Good morning," I yawned as I joined him at the dining table.

He had someone go wake me up, surprising me as he has been the one waking me up for the past week.

"Good morning to you too," he replied.

My eyes met with his for the shortest seconds and I felt my heart skip.

He has been looking at me differently compared to the times he always had a cold look in his eyes.

"Come sit beside me," he said and my heart skipped again.
