Chapter 29: Secret Affair

The young maid's information was something Suzie already knew.

She could summarize all this from Jonathan's report. But hearing it from the maid's mouth was still different. She could gain more information from them that Jonathan doesn't know.

As expected, the negotiation would only work if Reyna would accept the terms.

"Then did you hear from your Aunt that Madame is..." Suzie elongated her words waiting for the new maid to finish her own sentence.

She was sure that there were some secrets of Reyna that only the maids who had been working here for a long time should know. Something that Jonathan's report doesn't cover.

The young maid said that the Masters acted independently. Then there must be something going on. Like a dirty secret.

As expected the new maid paled. "...You knew that too?"

Suzie: "...."

She doesn't know. She was just guessing. A wealthy household like this would surely have some secrets that outsider doesn't know.

Suzie nodded and pretended that she knows.
