Zaki’s pov

His word echoed three times in my head and tears burnt the back of my eyes I stared at him as he smiled devilishly

No, I ain't ready to do this, I can have him treat me like trash but he can't possibly take my dignity from me

That's certainly not happening

“I suppose am talking to a human, ”he asked and I stood there staring at him

Just as he walked closer to me his phone rang, he cheeked the caller and sighed, seemed it was something really important

He picked up and spoke for a minute before hanging up. He stared dagger at me and turn

“Thank the stars I have something to attend to, let this be the last time you will ever try something as dangerous as this” with that he strode out of the room .

Right there I released the breath I never knew I was holding

Wow! did he just say that he sees me as nothing but his slaves

Wow!

Alexander's pov

As I walked down the stairs my heart pondered in anger

I just pray whatever Brayan called for is way more important than what I was handling before now else he will surely pay with his life

I hoop into my land cruiser and two other guards took my BMW hovering behind me, just like I do, I drove recklessly down the road and brought the car to a halt when I got closer to my penthouse I ordered the guards to stay behind of which dey obey before I finally proceeded to my penthouse

I spot Brayan standing closer to the pool and I walked closer to him

“Why did you call me here,” I asked and he stood facing the pool

“I have a little clue about your sister, “he said and I gasped as my mouth widened in surprise, and yes I felt something, something I have never felt for a damn long time

“What about her” I inquired impatiently and he sighed before turning to see me

“I will give you all the information you need but I want a favor in return,” he said and I narrowed my eyes in disbelief, is Brayan being serious now?

“And what's the favor?” I inquired and he sighed

“Look bro, I know you are pissed about the death of your family and little sis, but I need you to take everything easily with your wife, I mean we ain't even sure her father killed or plotted your families death so why hold the young girl responsible ” he blurted out and a feeling of anger overwhelmed me but I had to control myself

“Is this why you called me here?” I asked and he placed his hands on my shoulder

“Look bro, you know I always gat your back in whatever decision you make, but I'm sorry to let you know that I disagree with what you are doing right now. You need to give her a chance to prove herself to you, a chance to prove to you that she is way different from her father ” he concluded and I tightened my hands in anger, but trust me when I say I can't hurt Brayan so I turned back ready to exist the penthouse but he drew my attention back

“I just want to let you know that your sister is still alive, but we are yet to know her location” he muttered, and I turned to face him

I felt something strange lighting my entire system, this feeling is something I have never felt in a damn long time even if I wasn't smiling I know my heart is happy.

Bryan turned back facing the pool and I stared remorsefully at him

Brayan has always been there for me, I guess it will light him if I grant his wishes

“Your wish has been granted” I informed but he didn't spare me a look ,I know Brayan is really angry so I will just let him be till whenever he comes back to his senses. with that, I turned and walked out of the penthouse

Authoress Xee pov

Alexander walked in and proceeded to the bar, he took out a glass up and poured little quantity of vodka into it

He sure doesn't know how to make Brayan happy , but the one thing he knows is that he is sure giving her a chance to prove herself to him

He sipped on his wine and for the first time in 25 years tears burnt the back of his eyes but then he let it drop, he didn't make any effort to hold it in , he just needs a shoulder to cry on, he has really missed his sister. ever since the plane crash, he had lost all connection with his sister. This news has really brought relief to him .

Finally, he dropped the cup of wine and staggered up to his room

Just as he walked into the room, he met Zaki on the bed, with the look of things she was probably sleeping

Her eyes were closed and her pink love lips pouted like that of a baby

Alexander walked closer to her and drew the duvet up and covered her with it

He placed his hands on her head and sighed

Am sorry I haven't been treating you right. since things are kindly falling into place for me now I will stop being harsh to you he said in his mind and arranged her head rightly on the pillow before proceeding to the bathroom

Zaki’s pov

I noticed the door to the bathroom opened and closed at the same time, so I sighed and opened my eyes

Wait a minute did he really cover me with the duvet .isnt this someone that almost knocked the life out of me , some hours before now I asked no one in particular.

I hope this isn't one of his stunts again I sure can't deal with it I said and laid on the bed before he returns and turn into a beast .
