041 Reunion Night

"You've finally come.”

A man greeted me when I opened the restaurant door. He approached me as he took my hand,

"I've been waiting for you, you know?" He then kissed the back of my hand.

I laughed when I saw the behavior of the man in front of me. He was Ezra Barnes, my high school friend who was sponsoring the reunion tonight.

"Oh Ezra, you're too much, what if Louis gets jealous?" I sneered teasingly.

However, he chuckled. "Come on, let's not talk about the past. I broke up with him a long time ago," he said, "You're really behind the times, aren't you?"

"My bad! I don't follow romance stories between men," I said in a joking tone.

Instead of getting angry, Ezra laughed at my words. "You seem to have changed a lot..."

"...The Jeanne Hart I used to know would look at me with digusted look and even avoid me whenever I approached you less than 2 meters away," Ezra quipped at me as he laughed an artificially cynical laugh.

I snorted at his words that seemed to hit me.
