40. Conscious

Jane with tears that never stopped flowing from her reddened eyes tightly gripped the hand of Eros who was beside her. As soon as Sam gave her news about Luna, she immediately went to the hospital where her best friend was being treated.

Thanks to Sam's swift attitude, Luna was saved, if only the man was a little late, Luna was just a name.

Eros hugged Jane, trying to calm her down so she wouldn't make a commotion at the hospital. The man then turned to Sam who was just sitting in the corner of Luna's room with a pale face.

Sam was scared, he was afraid Luna would leave him. The man had not even cleaned himself up so there were still remnants of Luna's blood attached to his body.

"Sam," called Mrs. Veronica as soon as the old woman entered Luna's room.

Sam who heard his mother's voice, immediately looked up and hugged mother tightly. Sam cried silently in his mother's arms.

"It's okay, I'm sure Luna will wake up soon," said Mrs. Veronica, trying to calm Sam who was frantic.
