DARIEL’S POV

‘Now I think she did the right thing by leaving you!’ Shut up. Shut up.

I grit my teeth when her face sobbing, hitting my chest came to mind. My jaw clenched. I was in the hall, my one leg resting over the other, opening another button of my shirt.

I was already stressed because of work and my image I ruined by sending my employee Jared to jail and coming here, I ended up frightening her as well.

“Uh… Sir?” Sam called, noticing the stern expression on my face.

“Hmm?” I hummed, leaning my head back, rubbing my temples.

“Are you alright?” He asked, arching an eyebrow as I only hummed in return.

“You better keep Jacey happy at all costs.” I warned him, shifting my gaze to him.

“Yes, Sir.” He nodded quickly, sitting farther away from me. He was obviously intimidated by my very presence.

But, at the moment my only concern was Saafia. The sound of her sobs was echoing in my mind. I frightened her in the lift as well.

“I.. will go and see Jacey.”
