Pulling the chair behind her, Roy sent her a friendly gesture.

Avery gave him an appreciative smile as she added, "You didn't have to. It's an extra hassle for you."

"Don't say like that. I will be bored having dinner alone. It's good to have a companion." He asserted.

Avery was going to go back when Roy got her here with the excuse that he was getting bored and had none to have dinner with.

They were seated opposite each other. Roy had been extra careful around her these past days, he was taking care of her well like a good friend.

As the food was served Avery smiled and casually said, "I have something to talk to you about. It's been quite a long, I wanted to talk about it long ago but I just forgot."

"Sure, what do you wanna talk about?" He offhandedly asked her.

But what she said next got him to stop eating. He was taken by surprise.

"That night, you took me to that club because you wished to see her, didn't you?... Your ex-girlfriend."
