6: Run, Sweetheart, Run

Abby’s POV

I awoke with a severe headache, and my eyes were puffy from sobbing the day before. I feel as though my body has betrayed my mind by desiring to be touched and kissed by him. My parents did not raise me to be Fabian's prey, as it was not who I was.

I take a deep breath because I will try to get out of this hell place even if it takes me every day to fail, but at least I tried. Then, when I'm ready to leave, I grab the only dress left in the closet. It's a white minidress, and I bite my lower lip as I try to wear it because it's so uncomfortable.

Then, when I opened my door and looked around, I didn't see anyone. I took a step forward while tiptoeing down the stairs and when I got to the front doorstep. A guard yelled at me, "Hey! Where are you going?!"

But I didn't listen to him, and I tried to open the front door, which luckily wasn't locked. Then I took one more step through the gate and heard Fabian's loud voice on the front door.

I looked at him with scared eyes and said, "Just let me go."

The guards came up to me with their guns, and Fabian put his hands in his pockets and calmly looked at me. Those eyes, which could kill me instantly, shake my whole body.

"Just let her go," he said in a soft but firm voice that made people look up and be surprised.

"Are you sure, Sir?"

"Yes, open the f***ing gate! Let her go," he said to set me free, and then he moved closer to me and whispered, "You can run, but you can't hide from me."

The tears in my eyes finally rolled down and he wiped them with his bare hand and said, “Run, Sweetheart, Run,"

Then, I ran away from him without saying a word. When I got to the street where taxis stopped, I was panting, and my heart was racing like someone was after me.

"Is everything okay? Do you want me to take you to the nearest police station?" The driver asked as I finally put on my seatbelt.

"I'm... I'm fine." I calmed down and gulped, "Please take me to Miller's Residence."

***********

When I got to the Villa, everyone was having fun in the pool, and my sister was sitting in a corner drinking her favorite strawberry juice. They didn't even care that I had gone missing, and when the maid saw me, she was surprised and asked, "Miss Abby? Where did you go? We're so worried about you because you've been gone for so long..." Then she takes me to see my family, who are having a good time in the back of the Villa.

"Abby?!" When my dad saw me, he looked shocked and pale. He took a few steps toward me, but I put my hand up to stop him.

"I guess none of you even cared about me!" I gave them a bitter smile, and Faye frowned when she saw my face. "Well, we don't need you anymore," she said. "You don't have a place in this Villa or any of our property," Faye said those harsh words to make me feel bad about myself and wonder why they had to do this to me.

“Faye, shut your mouth!” Dad yelled at my sister.

My mom was standing in the corner, not talking. She had her arms around her chest.

Dad calmed himself down and said, "Abby, let me explain everything to you..."

"Daddy, why?" It feels like my whole world is about to fall apart, and my heavy heart is so weak right now as I look at the people I have always expected to love me.

"Because you are the daughter of the mistress! You are just like your mother so don't call me mom, it sounds so cringe! And because we want you to pay us for everything we did to raise you, we made a deal with a random man who can keep us from going bankrupt. Abby, you should be happy about that." Mom said sarcastically, "Don't step foot in this Villa anymore," Then she splashed wine on my face.

"Daddy?" I look at my Dad with tears in my eyes. Just as he was about to say something, the woman I thought was my mom, Elisha, called my Dad's name with a sour face. "Arthur, don't talk to that woman anymore! I gave you a chance for 25 years, but now it's time to let her go!"

Dad sighed softly and glanced at me, "You're on your own, Abby....take care of yourself."

"How could you treat me like this, Dad?" My face dropped when I asked him a question, I knew he wouldn't answer. That's why Elisha never loved me because I wasn't her daughter.

"Abby, get out of here!" Elisha told the guard to take me outside, and I was surprised to find all of my things and important documents on the floor.

"I guess the stranger that bought you was already sick of you, so here's the money! Take it! Find a place for you !" Faye threw the money at me, and I sighed softly. "I could never take this dirty money!"

I took my bag and walked out of the Villa, trying not to cry. It hurt me to know that they had done this to me so far for money, wealth, and to keep their status in life.

Faye threw a rock at my head, and she laughed and said, "You deserve it! Abby, don't talk to me like that again! You will always be trash, and trash like you deserve dirty money."

She shut the gate, and my head was bleeding when I touched it.

"Shit!" I sat down quietly, put a shirt on my head, and began looking for a taxi.

As I walk far from the Villa, a random luxury car stops in front of me, and when a hot and attractive man gets out, it feels like my breath is taken away.

"F-Fabian?"

"I'm here for you..."
